Locations & Weather Policies

  • Year-Round Location: Loy Norrix High School Pool (606 E Kilgore Rd, Kalamazoo).

  • Summer Locations: Kik Pool (1018 Walter St, Kalamazoo) and K College Natatorium (1010 Academy St, Kalamazoo).

  • School Closures: If Kalamazoo Public Schools (KPS) cancels school or evening activities due to weather, swim practice is automatically canceled.

  • Summer Rain Policy (Kik Pool): Practice continues in light rain but is canceled or moved to Loy Norrix HS in the event of thunder or lightning.

Loy Norrix High School

Loy Norrix Pool is the home of the Loy Norrix High School Knights Swim and Dive teams and is located at 606 East Kilgore, Kalamazoo, MI 49001. Led by Coaches Paul Mahar and Morgan Kenbeek, the women’s teams have won six consecutive SMAC conference championships and the mens teams have placed second in recent years.

Home of the Kalamazoo College Hornets Swim and Dive teams, Kalamazoo College Natatorium is located at 1010 Academy Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49006

 

Kik Pool

Kik Pool

Located at 1018 Walter Street in Kalamazoo, Kik Pool is a 50-meter outdoor pool, one of only a few in the state. Open from early June to mid-August, Kik Pool is a major part of our summer fun!
