Meet Our Swim Groups
Swimmers are comfortable in water – small groups for beginners
This is our first class completely independent of a parent in the water. In this class, we begin our progression beginning with blowing bubbles, reach and pull, kicks, floating, gliding, and jumps. Swimmers should be able to sit/stand while awaiting their turn and be able to take direction from an instructor. During lessons, there will be equipment used (noodle belt, kickboard & fins)
Red Group Practice Schedule
Monday/Wednesday 5:00pm-5:30pm | Sept. 9th-Nov. 18th
ORANGE – Stroke School
This first Intermediate class is now beginning to learn the swim strokes. Your child must have successfully completed all skills from the RED level in order to enroll in this class. We will be working to put all of the skills together and adding new ones, such as; breathing techniques, backstroke, underwater swimming, and more.
This class is held in the deep end of our pool, therefore, your child must be ready and able to swim in the deep end. The class is designed to increase water stamina and refine skills they have learned from the previous class. We will also be adding onto the progression with treading water, seated dives, and more.
Orange Group Practice Schedule
Thursday 7:00pm-8:00pm & Saturday 10:30am-11:30am | Sept. 10-Nov. 14th
YELLOW – Introduction to interval training and endurance training
This second-level intermediate class is now beginning to develop set fundamentals and stroke efficiency. Your child must have successfully completed all skills from ORANGE level in order to enroll in this class. We will be working to put all of their stroke skills together, learning drills and swim intervals.
The group is designed to increase water stamina and refine skills they have learned from the previous classes. Swimmers understand & have knowledge of swimming etiquette.
Yellow Group Practice Schedule
Monday/Wednesday 7:00pm-8:00pm & Saturday 11:30am-12:30pm | Sept. 9th-Nov. 18th
GREEN – Advanced level training for those 8-13
This is our advanced group that works on stroke mechanics and all of the skills for front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, floating, treading water, butterfly, and diving. This group will show confidence in their swimming ability at any depth and are interested in refining their stroke techniques and improving their endurance.
This group focuses on improving stroke techniques to allow for more continuous and confident lap swimming. Swimmers understand & have knowledge of swimming etiquette.
Green Group Practice Schedule
Monday/Wednesday 5:30pm-7:00pm
Thursday/Friday 5:00pm-7:00pm

Senior & Specialty Groups
Senior Group – Incoming (8th graders) or current high school students

HIGH SCHOOL CONDITIONING – Pre High School season workouts focusing on getting back in the water/ High intensity
USA – Next level program open to any KU swimmers wanting to take the next step into the competitive swimming world
